General information

Welcome to Weaving Alabama! We are a weaving studio and a yarn shop all in one! Here you can see hand woven baby wraps, hand towels, scarves and all other woven items being made before your eyes. I also stock wonderful yarn from Cascade, Manos del Uruguay, and Brown Sheep Yarn. I offer classes where you can learn to weave your own hand towels and even your own baby wrap. Come in the store to find out more information. I close at 2 to pick up my child from school but if you'd like to come by later just let me know and I'll be happy to come back down. I am not taking customs. Any pics you see on the page are for warps in progress and all pieces will be sold. Semi custom pieces will be offered up here on the page via random draw. There will be occasional custom opportunities here on the page.

Baby Wraps Price List

PRICES as of July 1, 2015
All prices are subject to change particularly as fiber prices fluctuate (they are charged at cost only)
Wraps woven to custom length as required
Shipping is not included and will be invoiced at cost
Prices are in USD
50% deposit is required when design and yarn choices are finalized to order yarns

$50 design fee (no supplied mockups)

8/2 cotton warp and weft: $100 per metre

8/2 cotton full pinstripy warp with cotton weft: $115 per metre

Add $10 per metre for cottolin, cottohemp or hemp weft
Add $15 per metre for Egyptian cotton warp or weft ($30/m for both)
Add $40 per metre for wool
Add $5 per metre for 8 shaft twills

Hand painted cotton warps are possible for an extra $20 per metre with a minimum 11m warp

Hand dyed weft is $50 (one colour with subtle variegation)
Hand painted weft is $100 (multiple colours)

Keeping all the options separate as above allows full customs to be completely customised.
