Amy Mowery NNP

General information

Amy Mowery is a board-certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNPBC). She is a graduate of Indiana University Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI) where she obtained her Bachelor's degree in Nursing and earned the Top Female Student of the university in 2001. She worked as a nurse at St. Vincent Women's Hospital Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) until 2008 when she completed her Master's degree as a neonatal nurse practitioner from Indiana University School of Nursing in Indianapolis. After graduating, she continued her career at St. Vincent Women's Hospital NICU as a nurse practitioner. She is Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certified and is a member of the National Association of Neonatal Nurses (NANN), National Association of Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NANNP) and Central Indiana Association Neonatal Nurses (CIANN). Amy is involved in Quality Improvement, Neurodevelopmental Care, and education including clinical precepting NNP students from University of Indianapolis. Special interest include: peripherally inserted central catheters (PICC) line placement; Neurally Adjusted Ventilatory Assist (NAVA); and Nursing/Staff Education. Professional lectures include: Neonatal Nutrition; Neonatal Respiratory Diseases and Therapies; Gastrointestinal and Gastrourinary Disorders of Newborns; and Acid Base Balance of the Newborn.
