Founded in 1999, Industrial Printing Solutions, Inc. is a privately-owned distributor of printing and packaging for the manufacturing industry with a particular emphasis on the Maquiladora Industry along the U.S.-Mexico border.

The founder of IPS, Inc., Lorenzo Lasater, envisioned a better way to manage industrial print-flow. Large manufacturers have traditionally been handicapped by the fact that they had to work a multitude of widely scattered, specialized vendors to keep their operations running. In effect, they were wasting a great deal of time managing vendors!
Studies have shown that the cost of printed items represents only a fraction of the costs associated with obtaining and using them. The expenses for design and writing, fragmented purchasing, shipments from numerous vendors, storage, distribution and accounting represent the bulk of the actual final bill.
