General information

I believe we have to improve the regulatory environment in Maryland to attract and retain businesses, but we also have to alleviate the tax burden on the average citizen. WE MUST REPEAL THE RAIN TAX, or at least have the savvy to get Carroll County exempted therefrom. O'Malley is responsible for raising 70 different fees and taxes, and it has to stop. I think we also need to protect folks' Second Amendment rights, eliminate the taxes on your pensions (which puts Maryland at a severe competitive disadvantage), and reduce the corporate tax rate. Furthermore, it seems to me that we need to send legislators to Annapolis who will do a better job of taking care of Carroll County. As the only candidate who has served at the municipal and county levels, I have a pretty good idea of what rolls down hill from Annapolis. Authority: Jamey Ayers, Treasurer
