Welcome to the OFFICIAL Facebook page of the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration, better known as MDOT SHA.

This account is monitored Monday - Friday from 8am - 4:30pm and during emergencies.

Not only do we want you to experience the roads that allow you to enjoy our State’s natural beauty, but we want to introduce you to the organization that creates them. We believe that building a successful organization is no different than building roads or bridges: it all starts with a solid foundation. Instead of standard construction materials, we rely on our values and our people -- SHA's most important assets.

Through this Facebook account we will introduce you to our organization and discuss our commitment to serving the citizens of Maryland through public participation as well as customer service.

We are proud of our tradition of excellence. Since its inception as the State Roads Commission in 1908, SHA has continued to build on its foundation of quality and integrity. We are happy to share our vision, our beliefs and our values with you.

Individuals who identify themselves as employees do not speak for the agency and any comments or posts on social media are the individuals' and are not associated with MDOT SHA.
