General information

Sandalwood Management, Inc. was founded in 1985 in Austin, Texas. Initially focused on multi-family residential property management, Sandalwood’s 1988 acquisition by owner Joel Ospovat brought with it dynamic expansion. Following Ospovat’s vision, Sandalwood grew and diversified. Operations expanded to include thirty thousand residential units and more than ten million square feet of commercial real estate spread across fourteen states. In the year 2000, Sandalwood Management moved into the Canadian market with the acquisition of thirteen shopping malls in the province of Quebec.

Today, Sandalwood is dually headquartered in Montreal, Quebec and Austin, Texas and owns and manages more than eighty properties across North America. The company’s holdings encompass six million square feet of retail and office space and more than four thousand multi-family residential units.
