Gitchells Studio was established in 1907 and is conveniently located in downtown Charlottesville, Virginia. Owned and operated by Jim Carpenter, an award winning photographer also recogniged as “Photographer of the Year” 5 times by the Virginia Professional
Photographers Association. Jim recently added photographer Portia Schneider for her innovative photographic style. Together they complement each others’ style and eye for photographic coverage. Both have exhibited and published their photography nationally and internationally. •3,200 sq. ft. indoor photography studio with a lounge, photo gallery, dressing room and viewing room •A plethora of sets, props, backdrops and lighting variations •Available for any on-location sessions and fully equipped with travel lighting and back-up equipment •2 photographers availible for full coverage of events •Ample front door parking
