Arkansas Therapy Outreach was established with the goal of meeting the developmental needs of children across the state of Arkansas with a mission to serve "Child-First" always. ATO is owned and operated by Rebekah James, a certified Speech-Language Pathologist.

Our mission is to keep your child’s needs first – paramount above all else. As a team, we strongly believe the high value of our “Child-First” mission is at the core of the life-long success our children and families enjoy.

We offer 3 convenient outpatient therapy clinics in Benton, Hot Springs and Sheridan. We also have therapy teams serving children in their natural environments in Conway, Little Rock, Malvern and surrounding areas of central Arkansas.

We provide professional, formal and free developmental screenings addressing all five domains of development (cognitive, motor, social, communication and self-help skills) as a service to children, families and child care centers because no child should struggle, no family should go without answers, and no child care center should question how to help a child learn. In order to meet the need for early identification and ethically identify individual developmental strengths and needs, ATO is proud to provide this free, skilled service along with a detailed report and guide for parents to speak with their child’s Pediatrician in order to make any necessary informed decisions as a unified team.

New in 2016: ATO is proud to offer ABA, applied behavior analysis, to impact a growing population in need of this valuable service in our communities. ABA therapy involves the application of behavioral principles to everyday situations so that, over time, the targeted behaviors can be increased or decreased according to a specific, individualized plan of care. ABA has been used to help children and people of all ages acquire many different skills, such as language, social, self-help, and play skills. Additionally, the principles of ABA can help to decrease maladaptive behaviors such as aggression, self-stimulatory behaviors, self-injury, etc. Continually researched, applied, and improved over the last three decades, ABA is considered one of the most successful strategies for teaching children with autism and other disabilities and is promoted by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and endorsed by the U.S. Surgeon General as the approved method of treatment for individuals with autism.

Early Intervention Services: ATO is proud to partner with Arkansas’ First Connections Early Intervention program benefiting families of children ages birth up to 3 years of age. Developmental Therapy addresses the five domains of a child’s overall development in children ages birth up to 3 years of age: cognitive, communication, self-help, motor, social skills. Developmental Therapy is always provided in your child’s natural setting and should be considered an excellent tool for training those who have the opportunity to help your child learn and grow from child care teachers to parents and even siblings.

New in 2016 - ATO's REACH Autism Diagnostic & Treatment Clinic:
The REACH diagnostic clinic assesses children as young as 24 months of age to determine if the diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is appropriate. Referral from your child’s Primary Care Physician (Pediatrician) is required. We use an interdisciplinary team approach to diagnose and care for your child’s needs while considering all unique medical, developmental, behavioral and educational needs.
