deMello’s Furniture is proudly owned and operated by José Freitas and family.
It was founded by José V. deMello in 1978 in downtown Taunton serving the greater Bristol County and surrounding area. In 1985, Mr. deMello established a second storefront in the south end of New Bedford. Today the New Bedford site is home to all deMello’s Furniture showrooms and operations.
Our friendly and knowledgeable staff has over 100 years of combined experience in the furniture industry. Our FREE delivery & home setup offering is second to none in the region. We take pride in the strong reputation that we have established in the community and we ensure that our customers are 100% satisfied with their experience.
