Performance School of the Arts, located in Clifton Park NY exists to "enhance quality of life through music and the arts".

We provide private and group instruction for music, dance, art and theater/acting. We want all of our students to come away from lessons with a love and passion for the arts. To do this we strive to provide a safe and fun learning atmosphere at a convenient location.

We provide top quality instruction for beginner through advanced level students. We do realize that although most students will not pursue a career in the arts, we aim to provide students of all interests with programs that meet their needs. All students are encouraged to learn new skills and improve themselves. Each year we expand our programs and continually improve our facilities while striving to offer the very best in fine arts.

Performance School of the Arts first opened in 2004 as a piano showroom called Performance Pianos. The primary concept was to provide the greater Capital District region with a retail establishment that featured new and used pianos of very high quality at reasonable prices. We started out with only a few students and two small lesson rooms in the back of the store where piano lessons were taught. We quickly expanded our programs to include instruction in Music, Dance Art and Theater/Acting.

Today our school offers both private and group lessons in Music, Dance, Art and Theater/Acting for ages preschool through adult (beginner through advanced). We feature a variety of music lesson styles for piano, voice, guitar (acoustic and electric), strings (violin, viola, cello, upright bass), woodwinds (saxophone, clarinet, flute, oboe, bassoon), brass (trumpet, trombone) drum kit and percussion. We feature dance classes in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, hip-hop and step. Art mediums include but are not limited to drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking and more. Our Theater classes offer the ability to develop as an actor, playwright, comedian, or cabaret-extraordinaire. We offer many performance opportunities throughout the year such as Recitals, a
Holiday Concert, a Variety Show, Dance Recitals, and Art Exhibitions.
