JTS started out specializing in the big Douglas Fir shavings we’re known for since the 1980’s. We still process Douglas Fir at our plant in Oregon, where we now also bale premium Pine, Cedar and custom blends of shavings. In 2007 we began custom shaving pine logs to assure the supply of pine shavings made specifically for bedding with a dust free product. We offer the finest in animal bedding, fresh to users anywhere West of the Rocky Mountains. All pine shavings supplied by JTS are from forests in the Western States and the result of thinning and logging projects being done to control dangerous forest fires we all see too often.
