Brandywine Roller Derby

General information

The Brandywine Roller Derby organization is built on love, respect, and acceptance. We pride ourselves on playing the best, the smartest and the cleanest bouts we can. We train hard and push ourselves to improve at every moment. We strive to keep our home teams fair and competitive, our travel teams reaching for excellence, and our organization transparent and always moving onwards and upwards.

We stand very strongly by our sisters and brothers and will not turn a disinterested shoulder if one of our own is threatened.
Our league events are an extension of these social ideals. Bigotry, sexism, transphobia, racism, homophobia, or any other form of intolerance or hate will not be tolerated. Any expression of intolerance or hate toward another person will result in the perpetrator being asked to leave the event without reimbursement. That individual or group will then not be granted access to any of our future events unless a formal apology is made, both to the league as a whole and to the individuals affected.

What is most important to us – the only thing that makes us The Brandywine Roller Girls – is our people. The women
and men; the skaters, referees, NSO’s, coaches, production staff, all of the bout day staff – the 100+ people who give
their heart and soul to make this league and all of its dreams and aspirations come true. We have come together to build
something unique, something we are very proud of. Women and men, gay, straight, bisexual, transgender, cisgender, U.S. citizens, citizens of other countries, members of all religious affiliations, full-body abled, disabled, young and old, educated by professors, educated by life, and everything in-between.

Our members come from all walks of life and encompass many demographics and we love and support them all.
