General information

This Page covers a bit of the old Anderson Studio and the pre Anderson Studio days where I worked out of my grandfathers basement doing custom paint work, bike building, artwork and some early shirt printing.
I carried over what I had been doing since 1970. Painting, Airbrushing and building motorcycles. My training is in Advertising Illustration. After I finished Art school and interviewing at several Ad Agencies I decided to stay with what I had been doing but adding more freelance illustration work along with the motorcycle work.
A little later(1976) I found a commercial location which suited my goals and sealed the lease on it in the spring of 1976. So officially opening in June of 1976 as Anderson Studio,Incorporated. I built a real Paint booth in the new location and with the extra space I was now able to take on any project from motorcycles to vans, car or special studio art.

Painting and Art were the main focus. In 1978 the Gas crunch and recession hit. The Automotive and motorcycle business dried up and I needed to diversify. Textile Screen Printing is what I added. That is, T-Shirt printing! It fit in well with the customer base we had. All I had to do is suggest our customers get shirts for their shops or business.

Today the printing generates the majority of our revenues, but the Bikes and Custom Paint are still a part of Anderson Studio, just in a more select capacity.
