Jess Hamer, a master craftsman and skilled furniture maker, opened Hamer Cabinets in the 1940s. His talent and creativity was passed on to his son Howard, grandson, Larry Maxwell, and great granddaughter, Abby Maxwell Dodson. Through the years the name changed, but the same pride and tradition for quality made Maxwell Cabinets the hallmark purveyor for custom design space management solutions.

Jess also passed on his knowledge and reputation for integrity from one generation to the next. As a result, Maxwell Cabinets has been recognized locally by builders, designers and homeowners for their consistently superior products and service. At a national level, the company was featured on HGTV as part of a showcase for design and product excellence.
