In 1989, Peter and Sandra von Hopffgarten relocated from England to Nashville, TN. Im the midst of the transition, they had a vision! They desired to provide the best customer service, quality brand names, service and selection of swimming pools, spas and other recreational products to Middle TN and the surrounding areas.

Bringing that desire to life, Pool and Spa Depot was founded in 1996 by Peter, Sandra & Benno von Hopffgarten. The original location was a storefront on Antioch Pike in Nashville. After only three years in business, Pool and Spa Depot was recognized as one of the fastest growing companies in the Recreation Industry!

In April 2000, Pool and Spa Depot moved to their new store in The Crossings located in Antioch, TN. The new building consisted of 80,000 sq. feet of showroom and warehousing designed specifically for pool, spa and recreational products. There was not another store in Middle Tennessee that had the square footage Pool and Spa Depot dedicated to the recreational field. People drove hundreds of miles just to come see what Pools and Spa Depot had to offer!

In 2002, the first Pool and Spa Depot Outlet store opened in Cookeville, Tennessee. The next expansion was in Kentucky during 2004 when the Bowling Green Outlet store was opened.

In April of 2012, Pool and Spa Depot's Antioch location relocated to a new state of the art location in Brentwood, TN. Known as the Cool Springs location, to this day it is steadily growing in customers. This brand new location showcases Tennessee's best selection for in-ground and above-ground pools, hot tubs, tanning beds, patio furniture and hardscape options. In January of 2017, Pool and Spa Depot opened its BRAND NEW headquarters and warehouse in La Vergne, TN.
