General information

The Wesley Chapel Volunteer Fire Department (WCVFD) was established in 1975. Its district includes some unincorporated areas of Union County, as well as the municipalities of Wesley Chapel and Marvin, portions of Weddington, and a small part of Indian Trail.

Our department maintains two stations. Station 26 is located on Waxhaw-Indian Trail Rd. and Station 31 is located on New Town Rd. These stations are staffed by a combination of part-time paid staff and volunteer members. Station 26 provides 2 engines, a brush truck, a tanker and a ladder. Station 31 provides 3 engines, a brush truck and a rescue. In addition to fire protection, WCFD also utilizes First Responders to provide rapid response to medical emergencies. WCFD also provides many other public services for the communities it proudly serves.

Over the years, our service area has evolved into one of the fastest growing areas in Union County. As a result of this growth, our department has proactively evolved to meet the needs of our citizens. Our department is very fortunate to have such a strong volunteer base, and the vast majority of our members live within the communities that Wesley Chapel Fire Department provides services to. Because of these dedicated members, we operate our department with a strong volunteer foundation, thus allowing us to respond with a large manpower base to handle the most complex incidents.

Our department has also made several noteable improvements to buildings, equipment and apparatus, allowing us to better serve the communities of our district; as we have always provided the citizens with the highest level of service possible.
