General information
The Department of Recreational Sports in the Division of Student Affairs promotes healthy lifestyle choices by providing development, growth, and education for the University of Georgia through the spirit of recreation.
Rec Sports is housed in the 440,000 square foot Ramsey Student Center on the east side of UGA's campus. Program areas include Aquatics, Competitive Sports, Fitness & Wellness, Outdoor Recreation and Strength & Conditioning. The Ramsey Center includes the Gabrielsen Natatorium's three pools, two strength & conditioning rooms and outlooks with cardio equipment, racquetball courts, the Outdoor Recreation Center, a climbing wall and bouldering wall, three main gyms and fitness studios. Other facilities like the Recreational Sports Complex and Challenge Course are also managed by Rec Sports.
