The Story of Patrick James, Purveyor to Gentlemen began in 1962 in the city of Fresno, California. Patrick James Mon Pere took his first steps down a path, which would become a lifelong journey. Mon Pere felt a true passion for the clothing business and had quickly attracted a very loyal following.

Patrick James began primarily as a private label store. Mon Pere used his own fashion savvy, as well as meticulous attention to quality and detail, which quickly established Patrick James as a "West Coast Classic" style. A business was then built by the heartfelt service and friendship that was bestowed upon each customer that walked through its doors. The secret of Patrick James lies in providing our customers with quality clothing and guiding them to establish a wardrobe uncompromised in its quality in both fabric and design.
