Our scone story begins back in the early 90's, when a then young Orlin Wagner was working part time as a baker to supplement his meager freelance photography income. After years of successful sales, Orlin married his lovely wife, Karen, who soon became known as the Scone Lady, with her baskets of fresh baked scones. She made them for Henry's, Java Dive, La Prima Tazza, Z's Divine Espresso, and Classic Gourmet. In 2005, Karen and Orlin took over ownership of Classic Gourmet, renaming the shop "The Scone Lady's Classic Gourmet". They transformed it into a cozy yet hip little cafe, serving delicious fresh baked scones and treats, plus continuing to roast all the coffee in house. By the end of 2007, the Scone Lady was ready to pass the baton to a new generation. 2008 began with new ownership under Karen's son, Lukas and his wife, Carrie. The name was changed again, to “The SconeLady's Coffee Shop”, since "classic" and "gourmet" are two adjectives having little to do with
scones or coffee when brought to mind. Since 2008, Lukas and Carrie still roast all the coffee and bake all the goodies in house, at the shop at Bob Billings Pkwy. & Kasold Dr. We're happy you stopped by today. Come back soon!
