In our every day lives -- even despite our best efforts -- we are exposed to an arsenal of toxins, chemicals, pollutants, pathogens, and carcinogens. Yet though we have so many things working against us, we shall never be deterred from the pursuit of wellness. Our bodies are our most priceless possessions and Cinder Charcoal began with the understanding that the key to our wealth is through our health.

Cyndi Wright, the creator of Cinder Charcoal, began her pursuit of discovering the best solutions for health and beauty from an early age. As one of many people who suffered from skin problems such as acne, she found a passion in pursuing skin care solutions, trying everything from home remedies to dermatologist-prescribed medications. It wasn't long before her research and observations led her to one resounding truth: natural, high-quality ingredients were truly the only answer to improving health and wellness while avoiding unwanted consequences of chemicals and toxic ingredients.

She obtained her esthetician license in 2001 and began working in the field professionally, increasing her knowledge of ingredients and experience in formulating innovative, new solutions to common skin care problems faced by millions of people. It wasn't until her brother's elusive illness, however, that her research took her in a new direction.

David, her older brother, started feeling fatigued, weak and constantly plagued by pounding headaches in late 2015. As a former triathlete, health-conscious dieter and someone in otherwise good health, his symptoms were a mystery until testing revealed that his body was being poisoned by an accumulation of heavy metals, most notably mercury. On her quest to discover an effective, safe and natural method of removing the toxins from his body, Cyndi encountered activated charcoal. Healers from all over the world have been using activated charcoal for over 10,000 years to treat people who accidently ingested poison and it is used today as the remedy of choice in modern day emergency rooms. Activated charcoal works because of its ability to attract substances to surfaces and bind them there. Now as of November of 2016, David's toxicity levels have decreased to and maintained normal levels with consistent use.

Having seen the capabilities of activated charcoal first-hand, Cinder Charcoal (whose name is derived from Cyndi's nickname, "Cinder") was born.
