General information

The home of The Center for Spiritual and Ethical Development (CSED), the Frank and Sylvia Pasquerilla Spiritual Center – Helen Eakin Eisenhower Chapel, represents a pioneering effort on the part of Penn State to establish an authentic multi-faith facility, the largest of its kind in the country.
Penn State recognized that the well being of its students, faculty, and staff and their ability to lead healthy, fulfilling lives, is a product of their intellectual, cultural, moral and spiritual development. This investment offers the unique opportunity to foster the development of conscience and character in a university environment.
As a multi-faith learning community, the Center – a division of Student Affairs – is charged with providing programs and a venue for the spiritual, religious, ethical, and character development of the University community. We aim to promote a welcoming and inclusive environment that stretches beyond tolerance to a genuine appreciation of, and respect for, religious and spiritual diversity.
