House of Birds was opened 14 years ago. We are locally owned and operated. House of Birds is the first and only exotic bird store in the history of Rockford. We are not your regular pet store, we only specialize in birds. Before opening House of Birds 14 years ago we had been breeding and showing birds for over 35 years. We hand raise and breed all of our birds. House of Birds can answer all your questions on how to raise a happy and healthy bird.

Our store offers birds in all different shapes, sizes, colors, and personalities. House of Birds have different types of bird toys, food, and treats. Our toys include a wide array of chew toys especially made for birds. We have a variety of nuts and dried fruits. Our store has a large variety of cages for birds of all sizes. House of Birds also offer perches, cleaning supplies, food and water bowls, and many other accessories. House of Birds offers bird sitting, bird grooming and also find homes for unwanted birds.

Every four months we have Dr. Scott McDonald a nationally known bird vet that comes to House of Birds for two full days. He offers sexing, chipping, grooming, and well bird check for anyone. Since Dr. McDonald comes once every four months an appointment must be made in advance.
