General information
It all started in 1973, with Lois Cain and George Fischer in a small office in a small town, Rockford, Illinois. In 1976, a national firm, Doremus & Company, took notice of our success and acquired us. We became part of a national network. Ten years later, the worldwide firm of BBD&O acquired Doremus & Company, making us part of the third largest agency in the world. In 1985, changes in the way of doing business led us back to our roots in Rockford, and we purchased the company back from BBD&O. We called it Cain & Company.
