General information

Verges Electric, Inc. was founded in 1991 by my father, Nelson Verges on the premise that the company would be an affordable, local electrical contractor with a focus on quality workmanship and materials. His idea was to not chase every big job that came across the table, but focus on the needs of local general contractors that would support the company year after year. It turned out to be a very good philosophy. I was fortunate enough to work with my father on the very first job he had on his own, and we continued to work together for two decades.

Nelson had since fully retired and passed the torch to me. He still enjoys coming to the shop some evenings and cutting up with the guys and being the "Good Guy"! I will be forever thankful for what my dad has done for me and what he taught me, not just electrical in electrical work but business in general. We still stick to the same principles and standards and I know I can always turn to him for anything.

As far as the future of Verges Electric, Inc., we feel that it will remain bright. When we look back at our track record of what the company has been through, it gives us much confidence to take on anything presented to us. Among always being on top of our new construction; projects such as being heavily involved in the high volume construction boom following Hurricane Katrina, not only surviving the biggest recession since the great depression, but actually prospering through it and now being a major player in the Chinese Drywall settlement program, the greatest renovation project ever in the United States, give us the pride to ensure that the only way to go is up.
