Welcome to the official Facebook page of Christ Gospel Churches International, Incorporated. We hope you will find this page useful and inspirational as we engage in social media to help share the Word of God and the love of Jesus Christ.

Like most Christian churches, we believe in the Apostles Creed. However, we place a focus on spiritual growth, and we use Jesus Christ (who is described as the perfect Tabernacle) to be a model for spiritual growth. We believe that the ancient Mosaic Tabernacle from the Old Testament is evidence that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, and each piece of furniture in the Old Testament Tabernacle is a symbol for Christians' spiritual growth. Our church also engages in substantial missionary efforts around the world. We sponsor an orphanage in Mexico and send children to school in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. But this is only the tip of the ice berg. Our church was originally founded in the 1950s. At the time, Rev. Hicks did not segregate her church according to race. All were welcome to come and fellowship in Christ's name. This combined with the fact that the founder was a woman was perceived as controversial for many years. But Rev. Hicks remained undeterred from preaching the gospel to people of all races, colors and creeds. The church has grown from a small Bible study to a large church with nearly 2,000 members in Jeffersonville Indiana (which is the international headquarters), with hundreds of affiliated churches around the world.

Our church integrates a number of musical styles as well. You will hear classical hymns, Christian songs in a "country music" style, traditional black gospel, and even opera on occasion. We believe that our diversity of music is a strength as we lift up God's name.
