A BRIEF HISTORY...

FROM FANCY FRESHER LTD TO FANCY DRESS WORLDWIDE...

In August & September 2012-2014, Fancy Fresher offered a fancy dress package for students moving to university. Dom Portman founded the company after attending Nottingham Trent University and realising that there are fancy dress themed parties during freshers' week. Without any prior knowledge of these events, students pay over the odds for costumes.

In March 2016, the Fancy Fresher pack had been selling seasonally for 3 years and the team at Fancy Fresher had expanded to 5 full time staff and 60 student reps. We won the prestigious West Midlands Start Up of The Year 2014, an award presented by Dragons Dens' James Caan in the Mayor of London Boris Johnson's office.

In HQ the team had been working on a new and exciting arm to the business, expanding our product range to 4,000 costumes including childrens sizes, affordable accessory kits and premium licensed Marvel & DC costumes. Our logistics team made it possible to offer our products worldwide and in offering our award winning service to the public, a new brand was born. Fancy Dress Worldwide has been trading under Fancy Fresher LTD since March 2016.

Over 200,000 happy customers in 54 countries later, we have now constructed our own website which we are continuing to develop as our business rapidly grows. As well as this, we also sell on these popular platforms;
