In the bustling metropolis of Gurgaon, thousands of professionals toil away creating the foundation of an economically strong India. Gurgaon is an amalgamation of people India, you will find people from north, south, east and west working together as “Indians”. This is the city that really shows you what India and Indians are capable of. A city bustling with activity and life, with chaos and commotion, with MacDonald’s and roadside stalls.

An amazing city such as Gurgaon filled with amazing people lacks something very essential. There is nowhere you can get food that feels like your mom’s and is pocket-friendly. Busy as we are with both working husband and wife, or a newcomer bachelor whose cooking skills don’t go further than our beloved maggie. You need something that tastes food from your own kitchen. They lack a mouth watering platter fulfilling daily meal option. I am not talking about a tiffin service or restaurant take-away. I am talking about a meal that reminds you of your mother. The good old “ghar ka khana” which we loathed as kids but now so desperately desire.

As fellow professionals, we were your colleagues who got tiffin service at work. But, it wasn’t fulfilling, we were never satisfied. It never felt that the food was prepared with care. It always felt like a service that we were buying for money. And, then we decided it’s time to change that. Let’s take business out of food, food should be something that shows you care and love. Our moms didn’t care about what we were giving them in return all she cared was to keep us happy and healthy. Its this love that made even ‘Khichdi’ tolerable, well not really. But you get my point, right?

So one day we decided to start cooking what we really wanted to eat ourselves and absolutely loved it. The idea then developed in creating a family of working professionals who feel they need the food they deserved. eDabbewala is not just a tiffin service provider, it is a family where our customers are our family members. We cook for our family and would like to see our family stay healthy and grow, we want to share the passion we have for really good quality food for you.
